lumbar traction is a wonderful thing
After weeks of experimental pain alone, I finally went to sports to help rehabilitate their problem terribly painful lower back. To my surprise, physical therapy was a relief, my aching back, and I can leave the establishment one hour later to go straight to the first time for weeks. Thank you to a unique device called traction bed stretched my spine and relieve pressure on the lumbar region.
What traction? The therapist first put me in a harness. They’d wear a Vest-like device, connected, and one to go in reverse, since I lied on the table in the break, with pillows under his head. Then they hung me to a Top-Ten machine (I’ll explain in a moment), then activated on both systems. It was wonderful, I could not stay there all night. After about twenty minutes, they caught me, and I was surprised to be able to run a lot easier than if I went on the site. Who invented this wonderful device that suffers back pain has a very big favor.
What is a TENS unit? It is a machine that sends small electrical impulses in the region, pain, muscle work and provides assistance to the region. There are different types of pulses, some tennis and some pulses, but they all feel good. I had the physiotherapist Crank It Up as high as possible, and it made my pain go away for the time I use it. Amazing. I had more than doubled with intense pain, even with drugs like Celebrex and Tylenol with codeine in my system. It worked better than these two together, hands down.
On the wall hangs a poster that explains the spine, in detail. Very interesting. It is much more complicated than I could ever have imagined. I had to show the therapist where my L5 lumbar region because that is where the herniated disc is. Half of the power of walking, physical therapy is the instruction on what to do with your problem. You learn to come back without effort, what is the best position to sleep with a sore back (on the back with a pillow under your knees) and other helpful hints for mobility. Taking all appropriate means to treat my body, it was clear to me that I really abuse my poor back for most of my life. No wonder I had fewer attacks of back pain during the last twenty years, culminating in a serious case at that time. I learned my lesson.
The therapist told me slowly, gradually setting up my endurance during walking, while ‘light exercise. He told me to listen to my body when I feel pain, it is time to stop. I have a little walk this evening. Thank you for drawing, I’m much more comfortable. This will be a long and slow recovery from sciatica, but at least I know now, there is hope. Having to go to a doctor spine and physiotherapy for the first time in my life was at first very frightening for me. But, honestly, it was an unexpected relief. Nobody gave me my shots in my back or mistreated. There is not a sudden excruciating pain on me, only a few tests to see how strong or weak, my muscles are a scanner and x-rays. I heard another patient, the therapist asked if physical therapy did not occur. The next step is always shot in the back, “he said. Not at all, I told him to correct me, so I never need to get this level of treatment. The next level of processing of these recordings is surgery. I want to avoid all that, and I am glad to know they do not grow these things on us. They are waiting to see how we react. And I can tell you that the treatment works, I will build my endurance by doing, as I said.
If you suffer from debilitating back pain, make sure you go to a specialist and ask him in the back. He will probably prescribe painkillers and physiotherapy.
